Ford TPS wiring

Hi all,

Here is a question I asked back in 2005 for my first MS install. The answer lies somewhere on a toasted harddrive (Thank you S*** Corp).

So I'd need to know once again how I should wire my Ford TPS that has three wires and thus three pins (wow!) labelled A, B and C. The connector is sort ...

No the pump will be outside and below the tank, so it'll never run dry.

Thanks for your answer! Seb

Surge tank size

Hi,

I'd like to know the size (litres or gals) of the surge tanks you guys are using. I'll be using one for my next project and it'll have the return line plugged into it, so I believe it will not empty real fast. I thought around one liter would do the trick . What do you think?

Thanks, Seb

Hi again,

Thanks for looking around on this topic. I'll definitely won't use rubber between the two, but I'll be putting an o-ring on the tip of the injector to ensure a tight install and not fiddle around with several fuel rails. These don't come cheap here in europe!!

My Saab is on the road, yes ...

Hi oughtsix, thanks for your input. I'll do as you say, so who has the same setup as mine also runs w/o rubber between manifold and injector.

My project is a Classic '84 Saab 900 (non turbo) which uses a bit too much gas for my tastes (as it's my daily driver) due to the crappy K-Jet system ...

Thanks for that Lance...

Looking at the problem from your point of view definitely makes me want to bolt the rail as well...

Do injectors need freedom of movement?

Hi,
I have to adapt my K-jet manifold to accept EFI injectors. The easiest way to bolt them onto the manifold would imply that the body of the injectors would be in contact with the aluminium of the manifold, as opposed to inserted into the big rubber ring that is then itself secured in place ...

Rail insall

Hi all,

I'm starting to build a fuel rail for my classic Saab 900 and I have 2 options. I'd like to use bits of an OEM rail that has the clamp type injector fittings. After chopping the rail into several suitable lenght bits, I will braze those together niecly. Now it would be easier for me to ...
