Re: RPM doesn't work when testing.

So in Megatune turning the rpm pot should generate a signal like the other pots?

I was able to hook the computer to my vehicle and the computer is working.
I may have damaged something on the stimulator while building it.

Thanks for the help.

RPM doesn't work when testing.

All sensors other than tach work fine when testing.

I have tried all 3 tach circuits, with jumpers in correct positions for each and get no signal on megatune.

I'm leaning toward the stim not putting a signal out.

Has anyone seen this?

I get 3000 rpm briefly when I connect the stim to ms, but ...

What type of sensor in mid 70's Ford Duraspark 2?

From what I can tell it is a variable reluctor, but I have read some things saying Hall "effect" sensor.

I'm trying to decide which circuits to build.

If it is a reluctor I will build the variable reluctor circuit and the neg. side of the coil circuit and could choose which with jumpers.

Inside ...

Also I forgot to ask if ordered the kit from DIYAutoTune would I have to install the firmware for MS1 or would it already be installed?

Re: Please Help. Votalge question while assembling V3

Matt,

Thanks for replying, None of the cpu grounds seem to work. If I hook the multimeter to 1 and 2, I get 0 volts, if I hook to 19 and 20, I get 0, and 31 and 32, I get 0 volts. However if I ground the multimeter to the negative side of the battery, and touch the positive lead to any of the ...

Please Help. Votalge question while assembling V3

I've been building in stages and when I last left off I had the correct 5 volts to the cpu pins.

I went on to build the communication steps and that tested correctly.

I then got to the point in which you test with megatune. I couldnt ever get it to connect.

Now I've gone back and checked voltages ...
