Thank you for the information and the prompt reply.
As the ECU will be mounted about 1.5 meters from the engine and the MAP sensors will be close to the inlet manifold, I am thinking that it may be best to stay with a standalone unit. It would also be easier with my limited knowledge of the system.

Like you, I am also interested in Synchromap as I have a set up with long duration caams and ITBs.
I have spoken with DIYAutoTune and they advise that Synchromap has not been commercialised. Hence there is no kit or printed circuit board available from them.
