Thanks a lot for the replies. Although I'm still upset I did this wrong, I am glad it's not catastrophic. Hopefully I wont run into a situation in which it needs removed.

Will I run into any issues in the future with it being soldered on vs attached by socket? I can vacuum the solder off if need be, I don't want to attempt and possibly damage the board unless I have too.

Thanks for the reply. Are there any issues/problems I will encounter in the future having the board soldered on rather than installed with a socket? I have a nice solder vacuum I could try to use, but if it wont cause me in problems in the future I would rather not try to remove it and possibly ...

I was following the step-by-step guide assembling my MS-II 3.0 board. When I got to the step where I was suppose to insert U1 (MSII DAUGHTERBOARD) I inserted it and soldered it. When I got to the next step it said I was suppose to pry it out...I paniced and read through the rest of the steps and ...
