i'm using an adapter cable from usb to db9 on a megasquirt i with a hp laptop with windows 7. no luck at all. i keep getting the same error message-(cannot communicate with controller).

GM part # for the pigtail lead for the EGR vacumn solonoid - 12102747. This pigtail is not cheap, about $24.00. If you can find one at a junk yard about $5.00. Be careful as this is a very special connector.
