Re: Burnt the coil button out of the cap

I don't know what the deatails of your ignition setup, so this may not apply but burning the cap and rotor is a common problem when a high output coil is used. The factory center terminal is a carbon base and it can/will get hot with high output coils. Msd makes a center button that will eliminate ...

Re: duty cycle

Your old map should be very close once you change your req fuel to reflect the new, larger injectors.

Re: Injector duty cycle 100%...?

Couple things to check, are you referencing the fuel pressure to the intake manifold and is the problem duty cycle maybe the result from accell enrichment being triggered?

Re: O2 sensor and drag racing

You must have really slow O2 sensors.. I believe the average O2 sensor has about 150 ms response time and will work fine for tuning your runs. The info collected will only be usefull if your using a wideband O2 setup, the narrowband sensors are only meant to accurately measure stoich.

Re: Progressive throttle linkage

Something with a changing radius should work, like an elliptical throttle plate. The cable must be attached to take advantage of the changing radius. I'll try to get me idea across with a pic.

Re: boost sensitive fpr yes or no?

Yes... get one, 1 to 1 ratio. The MAP referenced (remember it's not just boost) reg will lower the FP during high vacuum and raise the FP under boost, this will maintain the proper pressure across the injector and give better fuel control all across the board.

I would be very careful about dealing with ANY company that only uses a Hotmail address for contact info, definitely not normal.

Electric Holley Volumax (I always run an alt too) with carb and alcohol but bought an Aeromotive belt drive pump for the high pressure associated with EFI and turbocharging.I have not run the belt drive yet, the twinturbo drag car is still in the "collecting parts" stage.

Finding a suitable pump that can support alcohol and flow the required fuel@70 psi base pressure will be expensive.Magnaflow and Weldon sell electric EFI pumps that will work or you can go to a belt drive from Aeromotive (thats what I bought for my twin turbo EFI Acadian)
According to Magnaflow, 110 ...

yea, they are huge, but they're gonna have to be if i'm going to reach my goal of 1000 rwhp, as far as i know all of them are compatable with methanol, i'd ask just to be sure.

Those injectors will be way to small for 1000rwhp on methanol, 8-96lb/hr injectors will only support about 630 crank HP ...

Hi Bruno, I have seen guys use D cell batteries for a very simple injector driver and it's very unlikely that enough current can be generated to hurt anything.

I dont know if the MSD does or not, I was just describing the two types.

Quick question: does the sensor require power to funtion or not?
No.

See here for more info.

I'm sure MSD's flying magnet setup does use a VR type pickup not a hall effects, the pickup doesn't contain a magnet this is so that the ignition cannot be false triggered by a bolt, vibration or debris it needs an actual magnetic field to "fly by" to create the signal, the pickup is just a coil ...
