I am such an eeeediot.
I bought a serial cable and usb charge cable for the Palm IIIc from ebay.
It turns out that the charge cable had pin 10 as 5v and pin 9 as GND instead of pin 9 as 5v.

After switching the wires around, it actually powers on

So the Tungsten T will do the job without needing the TTL conversion chip? I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible. I have bought 3 second hand Palm IIIc's so far and none of them will power on. I'm awaiting a new battery, but I don't think its going to work somehow. Thats why I'm looking fo...

Does anybody know if the M125 will work?

Any mods required?



Edit: To answer my own question, it appears that the M125 uses the same connectivity as the M500 series, according to this wikipedia entry.
