Re: Constant Baro Ground

Thanks Matt,
I'm afraid I followed the manual, not knowing the problem till it pegged the reading, and started checking for grounds. The end of R57 is close enough that I have just pulled the jumper from D1 to move to R57 without any other mods / longer wires etc.

Constant Baro Ground

On the independent baro installation page of the manual the 'non-banded end of D1' is recomended for the ground on the V3.0 board, which is incorrect and should be changed.

Is there a problem using the DB9 end of R57?

Thanks

Re: Blue screen problem

Thanks Phil, I found a local supplier for the FTDI adapter, under $20. Plug and play, no drivers to load. So far works great. The biggest problem is that I have yet to see an adapter that has the chipset/driver labelled, and even the computer geeks at the retail outlets don't know what I'm talking a...

Re: Blue screen problem

Hate to bring this up again....BUT..I need help. Please. I have been trying to figure this out all day with no luck, and the only replacement cable I've found locally is $60. Hoping I can sort this out with the cable I have. I have just started trying to use Tuner studio and get the BSOD. I ...

Re: Crankcase Ventilation Problem? and Idle Valve for 1800cc?

Ok, I am going to move the hose connection up the intake tract and away from the throttle body. That seems to be close to what the factory did in the late '60s with the hose routed to the air cleaner housing. Had considered putting in a full PCV system with a proper PCV valve, but I'm not keen on dr...

Re: fuel pump safety switch wiring

"Why do GM tpi motors use this set up and what happens if the fuel pump relay quits?" First off, I don't know how GM used the switch. If the fuel pump relay quits, the fuel pump quits, and your engine quits. Replace the relay. There is no 'double safety' or 'limp' mode for the fuel pump. W...

Crankcase Ventilation Problem? and Idle Valve for 1800cc?

I have converted a dual SU carbed Datsun to single throttle/plenum intake and am finding that it sucks the Valve cover gasket in which then leaks, and may possibly be causing oil leaks at the oilpan gasket as well....... There is one hose barb from the valve cover which I've connected to the TB at a...

Injector Position in Runner

The Escort that we get the EDIS modules from (early 90's?) has an aluminum manifold with some nice curved runners which would work well as a basis for building a log manifold from. Would be about the right size diameter for your engine, but would require a bunch of fabricating. I have been consideri...

Fuse boxes for rewiring came up on the Datsun Roadster mailing list a while back and someone suggested some mid 80's Nissan Boxes. Which are made to bolt to a flat surface. I have seen them in 10 (Micra), 15 (pickup), and 20 (Sentra) circuit configurations with the relays (3 or 4) clipped right to t...

Case screw drill bit size?

Rodney, Just a freindly suggestion: If they are available down there, try to go to a "Robertson" type screw. Very simple, strong, and efficient. Available in all types from wood/steel to machine screws. Once you've tried them you won't want anything else! Daryl ----- Original Message -----...

Do you just spray both sides of the pcb while covering inlet to map sensor?

Nothing in the manual or on the can of conformal coating that I bought...
