Can anyone reccomend a WB02?

My LC1 doesn't work worth crap and I'm tired of messing with it. What would you guys reccomend I replace it with? I use it for my MS and the 2nd channel works with a cheapie ebay digital display to show my AFR. I'd like to keep the ability to use my digital display (LC1 puts out 1v for 10AFR and 2v ...

Re: I think my MS is going wonky

The pulse width is scaled by the MAP value, so you have both VE and air density figured in. I'd check your fuel pressure first. Thanks Matt! I was really hoping you'd chime in on this one. I'm a little confused tho. Why do we have a 2D table like this if the pulsewidth is scaled by the MAP value an...

I think my MS is going wonky

Please help! I think my MS is going weird on me. I have spent hours trying to figure it out without progress. I hadn't touched my tune/MS for 3 years until a couple of months ago when I suddenly started to have a problem. My problem is that as I drive my car, my AFR's slowly go very lean (across the...

Re: Auto Tuning with narrow band

Ok. I know they say the first sign of madness is when you start talking to yourself, or so my TV tells me :) . So here I go. Got my LC1 unit with analogue meter in the mail the other day. Fitted, calibrated and tested and I'm chuffed. I was right! It is like switching in a light in a dim room. My l...

Re: Slight backfire timing or no AE?

Having no AE would result in the symptoms you describe (hesitation or a miss/backfire) when quickly opening the throttle from a mostly closed position.

Re: Auto Tuning based on log file

Hi, Was wondering if anyone knows of an application that will make automatic tuning changes (or even just suggestions) based on a log file? It sounds like you're asking about MegaLogViewer's VE Analyzer function. Thanks Matt! I did some research and it looks like this is exactly what I am looking f...

Re: Auto Tuning based on log file

Is the sensor a long way down the exhaust? And or protruding too far into the stream so it's running cold? Some tips here:- http://wbo2.com/lsu/position.htm It's within 10" of the turbo and using the bung provided with the sensor/kit. So no, that's not the problem. Although I'm sure if I was r...

Re: Auto Tuning based on log file

Frankly, I would be correcting the problem with my wb controller and use the autotune function in TunerStudio. It just seems like a lot of hassle to try to parse a log when TS works so well. Just my thoughts of course.... Ken EDIT: Not to mention, if the o2 is providing bad information I doubt that...

Auto Tuning based on log file

Hi, Was wondering if anyone knows of an application that will make automatic tuning changes (or even just suggestions) based on a log file? I don't want to do it in real-time because my WBO2 sensor sucks and keeps going into "warmup" mode. When in warmup mode it sends a false reading of 10...

Firmware change log

Hi, Does anyone know if a firmware change log exists?

I'm currently at MSII v2.890 and was wondering if it was worth it to upgrade to v2.905

I saw the sticky about the 2.905 release with info about changes since the last release, but I think I'm more than 1 version behind.

Thanks!

Holley TBI injectors, 85pph, low impedance.

Re: Battery voltage compensation = Lesson Learned

How did you determine that the compensation was 0.9? I kept altering the battery voltage (disconnected my alternator by putting a switch on the excite coil). Then I adjusted the value using trial and error until I found the sweet spot where there was no difference in the AFR or the way the engine r...

Battery voltage compensation = Lesson Learned

Today's helpful hint is to make sure that your battery voltage compensation setting is correct. Don't ignore this value and tune around it as I did. If your alternator fails (resulting in the MS seeing a couple of volts less battery voltage) and your battery voltage compensation isn't correct your c...

Re: Tach Signal Masking

Well, the math I did in my 1st post is definite wrong. I'm not sure why tho.
Seems to get a correct number, you would want to use 1/2 of the value that my math comes up with. Maybe because it's a square wave or something and the MSII needs to see both the rising and falling edge?

Re: Tach Signal Masking

Turns out 2.3ms is way too high for a V8 using EDIS. Starting ignoring legitimate RPM pulses at around 3300RPM. Looks like my math was wrong somewhere and I doubled the time window. Setting it at 1.1ms seemed to let it rev right up to 6000RPM+

Tach Signal Masking

Been having some tach signal noise/dropout problems with EDIS and it was mentioned that adjusting the tach signal masking settings might help. So, I'm trying to come up with some target numbers. The way I understand EDIS; the EDIS module sends the PIP signal with the same frequency as each ignition ...

You mean for the coil pack end?

If so, I wasn't able to find anyone who sold them. Most people pull the boots off a set of JY wires and crimp/make their own plug wires.

Re: VR Sensor Orientation with EDIS

I think you are getting confused with the orientation of the poles. Stick the sensor to a piece of steel to see. There is only 1 pole at the end of the sensor, the other pole is encased in plastic. It's not possible to orientate it "backwards" in this regard.

Re: EDIS plug wires

Thanks! So I need to make sure that I don't buy solid core/low resistance wire, or do I need to buy some sort of specific high-resistance wire? I was thinking about buying this: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2DG827&N=700+4294925143+4294756594+4294864973+4...
