3sgte ignition and ms

Post by 2crazyrhd »

I'm looking into gettion a MS2 to replace my power fc. Can anbody tell me wether or not it will work with my stock 3sgte ignition system? The other mr2 owners all convert to higher output systems, but i'm low on funds and just want my car up and running so i would like to stay with the stock stuff if possible.

Thanks

If it makes a difference all I really know is that uses 3 vr signals and 2 signal rotors.

Until MS2 Extra is stable, your only choice is MS1 Extra if you don't want to grind 2 teeth from you NE wheel in the distributor. Even then, it can be a challenge to get the VR conditioning working right.

So if I grind 2 opposing teeth off from opposing sides, then either setup should work for me?

I'm running non-modified teeth with two vr conditioners and its, in all honesty, a pain in the arse. Just cant set the two conditioners right. Almost had it right out of the box but adjusted it to get it perfect and now it falls over at 6000rpm and idle.. Wish i hadnt. Considering going back to fuel-only for a while so i can actually drive the car properly.
MSnS-E29q On a V2.2 was powering a 3S-GTE with stock sensors hopefully to approx 300 bhp until i blew a CPU
