tps for 1.6 miata

Post by bernied »

The TPS for the 1.6 miata engine is either on (full throttle) or off. There is no in-between. Can I use this TPS, if so how?

tps 1.6 miata

Is there a TPS sensor that would replace the sensor on the early 1.6lt Miata throttle plate. A sensor that would be like a potentiometer instead of a switch like the stock TPS.

Look for a '93 (and possibly other years) 1.6 Miata with an automatic transmission - these used a potentiometer type TPS. The stick shift ones still had the switch type. Not sure if you can swap sensors or need to swap the whole throttle body.

I think he needs the whole throttle body.
