Rev Limiting with MSD ignition

Post by TheMonkey »

If I am going to use an MSD 6 series ignition box, is there any advantage to getting the MSD 6AL box that has rev limiter in it, or can I just get the 6A box, and control the rev limit from MSII?

I have two cars running MSD 6AL's. There is no advantage to having a 6AL over the 6A's with megasquirt. I was able to pick up my 6AL's cheaper than 6A's which is the only reason I went with the 6AL's.
1980 450slc converted to MegaSquirt electronic fuel injection and couldn't be happier! Using the stock dizzy and a MSD 6AL ignition along with the stock Bosch ignition box. Home built fuel rails out of aluminum fuel rail stock. Using 19lb mustang injectors I purchased off of ebay.
