Post by 69camaro »

im new to mega squirt. I just assembled my msII and was testing the injectors and now test mode will not return to normal mode. I have tried to burn normal mode back several times and reset it multiple times and i have also saved it then tried to open and it says error. Someone please help

I can't help you but also found test mode doing things when I did not expect it to (expecting it to be back in normal mode when it was not). This could cause washing of the cyl walls... I did not have too many problems though.

However, I was too focussed on getting the injectors tested that I did not spend much time trying to analyse the issues I had - and did not report on the matter, not being able to do so accurately.

But, it now occurs to me, if nothing else works, reflash the code and then upload your msq.

I had the same problem as you guys I hope someone steps in and gives us an answer to this problem. I did get mine to shut off test mode but it was by reloading the firmware which sucks to have to do all the time. It seems a glitch in the code.

I have been trying for 3 days to get out of Injector Test mode, too! I hate to burn new firmware to get it to stop.

I'll chime in with a "me too". I gave up and checked the pattern and rough flow amount by using the stimulator.

Reflash is not bad the first time or so but it does get to be a pain in a hurry.

Eric:

Any word on when this injector test problem is going to be fixed? I would like to start using this feature.

Thanks,

I ran into the same problem and found the only way to turn the test mode off was to change the number of squirts to 0 while the 'test' was running, this then stops the injectors firing. Then you can change the mode to normal, megatune beeps a couple of times then burn settings to ecu!

This hangup may be on the embedded side and not in MT. I was testing on a Ford and had the same thing occur, setting the squirts to zero allowed me to have MT get back into normal mode.

This is a real useful feature, we will get it to behave nicely..
