i would like to know do i need a MSD tech drive to run a autometer tech or can i wire it right to MSll or EDIS 8

I'm not familiar with the autometer but one way to find out is to simply connect the PIP signal to the autometer. You cant damage anything and if it works :D , if not, you'll have to do the tacho wiring where you bring the four coil- together via diodes to the autometer because then we know it wants to see that high volt spike.
