Are you worried about keeping it stock looking? if not use a 3.2 carrera manifold they are not to hard to source and often come with injectors, rails and regulator.

I posted something about this recently, but got no response, i ended up finding someone who did seem to know something. below is the question i posted and the response i found outside the forum from someone who sells many different injector styles/makes

Q:What kind of heat are EFI injectors capable of enduring?
What I am referring to is the temp of the injector itself; the temperature that the injector reaches created by the environment it is in while it is working. I am looking for the highest sustainable temp the injector can tolerate eg; 300, 400, or ??? Also, can the spray nozzle tolerate more temp than the injector body and connector?

Here is the info i was given

The injector bodys are rated to 250-350 degrees depending on the body design, the tips are all metal, some with plastic shrouds, the fuel cools the tips down, they are capable of 300-400 degrees F.

This is general info, if you are looking for specific injector info let me know, i can get you the contact info, but this should put you in the ball park.

Hey,

I've been thinking the very same thing for a while now. I'd like to use the MFI TBs without modding them. So the injectors would need to go in the head.

I haven't even held an injector up to the port to see if it would fit. All my parts are in storage until I get them moved into a shop space. I think I found that space at least.

My other thought is:
How deep in a bung can they be to not disturb the spray?

Sounds like the temp would not be too big a deal.

cheers,
dug

I run a single TBI unit in a supercharged set and I found out that as the inlet temps hit the 80C the injector starts to work erratic (it is Rochester). It gets worse while the engine has been idling for a while.

I am sure it is temp relaled, because when I bypassed the blower (and so lowered the IAT's) the injector worlks great.
