3 pin VR sensor

Post by reffo »

Hey guys, i have a volvo with a 16v turbo engine. I have bought MS-II PCB 3.57, and i have it wired now for fuel only directly to the car without a relay board. I have a problem with the car's VR sensor. It's a 3 pin sensor, i can't get it working with my MS. Any info would be very useful. Thanks a lot.

I think VR sensors are usually 2-wire, hall sensors are usually 3 wire (power, ground, signal). Are you sure it's a VR?

Bosch has some 3-wire VR sensors. The 3rd wire is shielding though

Thanks for the info guys, but i want to know where to connect the 3 wires of the vr sensor (to which pin on the #DB37).
Knowing that i have already the bosch 124 ignition module. Thanks.

The shield is grounded, the positive wire goes to pin 24, and the negative wire goes to any of the ground pins. It may take some experimenting to see which pin's which but an ohmmeter will show the positive and negative pins are connected together and the shield usually isn't.

Thanks man for the info, i will try this. But what is the difference between an inverted vr signal and a non-inverted vr signal?
