2.886 and MSQ

Post by Robert Spencer »

Hi Someone,
I just loaded megatune 2.886 and in the process of developing a new MSQ, I find areas like crank pulse, prime pulse, and some others that do not allow any input. Why would that be??

In Megatune under Fuel Set Up/General Settings did you select an ECU type?

crank and prime pulse have 2 kinds of inputs: a 2 point straight line and a 10 point table allowing you to put in any curve you want. Somewhere in one of the fuel menus it asks you to pick one of these options. It will then expose the inputs for that choice and allow you to change them.

Thanks Dev, I am hopeing the 2.886 will help the hot start idle problem. Otherwise your sugested settings are working fine. I also want to start using datalogs with megaviewer.

Bob,

I noticed about 1 full afr point change at idle from cold to hot engine. I corrected it with "IAT based fuel correction" under "Other Tuning" This may not apply (or be the correct solution in mine) in your case but so far it's working well for me.

Hi,
So which way did you correct it?

My idle afr was going from 13.9 to about 14.7 or so and this caused just a bit of "rolling idle"

Currently the last two temp bins are 180* and 9%, 200* and 12%. The other four bins were left at zero.

I recently made this change and am curious as to how it's going to affect the VE percentages.
