The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

I've got a serious problem I need to fix in a hurry. My ms2 recently crashed. My coolant temp locked at zero degrees and it went pig rich. No amount of adjusting would lean it out. I had to reload the .s19 file just to get my engine to run. Ever since it crashed, it will Idle okay. I've got all my sensor readings back to normal. If you give large amounts of throttle it will rev fast and hard as it should. If you try to ease on the throttle as if pulling out of a parking spot, it will bounce between normal running and accel enrich, drowning the engine with fuel. Injector msec, which around idle is about 4.5, will jump to 25.5 when it does this. I have tried to limp it home by zeroing out all the accel enrichments but it doesn't change a thing. I'm not sure where to go next. I know that I may have a leaking injector and the plugs are more likely than not fouled out by now but neither of those things should cause the accel enrich to activate. I understand there might be noise on the tps signal wire but all the enrichments are zeroed out, shouldn't make a difference. Did I somehow short out a component on the ms2? I've only got the motorcycle to drive around on and it's getting a little to cold for that. I'm running an l05 350 with tpi setup in a jeep cherokee. Megatune 2.88 with matching version in ms2.
I got caught out recently with the same thing.
Then I read this viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29505.
Cost me 2 sets of plugs and half a tank of fuel before I could figure what was going on.
Try multiplying your tps threshold by 10, clean the plugs, and see if that works.

Thanks for all the info. I appreciate all the help from everyone. I've since gotten the jeep running again. Seems I was running MS2 on 2.6 code and Megatune on 2.8 code. Crashed the operating system on MS2. I got it running again on 2.6 code and was able to drive it back home to spend some time on it. I reloaded 2.8 code properly this time. Left alone what I didn't need to mess with and did some reading to learn about the differences between 2.8 and 2.6. A little tweaking and a little cursing later, the thing runs like a champ. A classic case of operator error and stupidity. New laptop and no patience to load the proper megatune code = crashed computer and undriveable Jeep.
