Converting to Alpha-N

Post by obxer »

I'm running 2.886 code on a Microsquirt. So far I've only run speed density. Now I'm trying to start a "new project" in the Configurator so I can try Alpha-N also - without loosing any of my speed density "car1" project.

How do I get started with this? Do I take one of my existing speed density msq files and open it in the new project? I tried something like this and got a bunch of mismatched constant errors and I'm missing all my trigger wheel settings etc in Megatune. Could someone tell me how to get started?

I might of figured out what I'm doing wrong. Do you leave the Fueling_Algorithm set to Speed Density in the Configurator even though you want to use Alpha N? So you only change the Control Algorithm in MT under Injector Control and leave the Fueling_Algorithm in the Configurator set to Speed Density?

I'm a newbie myself, but I would start by copying all the car1 files into a new folder called "car1 Alpha-N" and changing the "car1" name to something like "car1 SD". this way you won't lose anything. Then play to your hearts content! Save your .msq's, of course. I also believe you can change this stuff in MegaTune. And just save the .msq's.
