Tables from Scratch? Updated to 2.888 & Installed turbo kit

Post by MustangMike »

I had MS tuned nice, but just installed a turbo kit, the engine wasn't touched. I also updated the firmware to 2.888.
I'm wondering if the best thing to do for tables is to generate a new VE, then adjust my req fuel to get it to match my afr? I have built the spark, and afr by hand pretty well.
Any one got a H/C/I single turbo 302?
Thanks in advance.

You'll definitely have to generate a new VE table. The kPa bins will depend on the amount of boost you will make. However, it might be best to let MT generate the VE table, then put your known values at the kPa/RPM intersections that you have already tuned. Just use the req_fuel value you currently have to generate the new table. You should only have to change the req_fuel number if you run out of tuning resolution, (go above 254 or below 0), in any of the bins.
