polarity of ford crank sensor

im trying to find out what way round + - to wire my crank sensor,

or does it not matter being only a 2 wire??

It matters. EDIS won't trigger if it's backwards. I didn't see any marking on the sensor as to which pin is positive, though. Try it one way. If it doesn't work, try it the other.

If you're using a Ford sensor without EDIS, you may be able to set up MS to read it either way.

Last post in this thread describes a method to determine the polarity, although Loren's method is faster as long as there is not a second problem that requires debugging.

Note - you cannot trust the color of the wires to give you an indication.
