You might want to try upgrading to the latest firmware and see if that helps.

Well, that broke lots of things.

I upgraded to ms2_2.888a and the first thing I noticed is my fuel pump primed continuously. I unhooked the MS unit from the car and put it on the stim.

The stim shows IG solid red, I2 solid off, I1 solid off, IDL solid off and PMP flashes off and on. Regardless of what RPM I input or any other settings I change.

This is my first time flashing so perhaps I screwed something up.

Did you set the ECU type when you loaded the code? If you do not set it, you'll get the result described. This was put in there because both the MS2 and Microsquirt use the same code.

I used MS Download 2.00. I selected the code, clicked install. It did the rest automatically. I did see there was a 2.890 available today. It does the same thing.

My Q16 chips arrived today. I got some desolder strips and removed the old chip. Soldered the new one in and saw near the same results. The IGN light behaved the same way. I checked my solder to ensure they were filled enough in addition I made sure the solder didnt leak over onto any of the other contacts.

You will need to set the ECU type through MegaTune after loading the code; this is not part of what the Downloader does.

After upgrading to the latest MS-II software (2.8900) and replacing my Q16 module (and setting the ECU, whoops) she's running again!!!

oh it was so nice to hear it run. I have been smiling ear to ear. Thank you so much for your support Matt. Check your PM's when you get a moment.
