Fuel injection driver and fuel pump issue

Post by Chausx »

I'm running megasquirt I V3

So both injector drivers Q9 and Q12 are getting extremely hot when I have the car in the on position and not running. My fuses to my fuel pump also keep popping. I've been over my harness and there is nothing showing any signs of shorts. I'm looking at my board as being my culprit and I need a place to start looking.

Those are the flyback circuit, not the injector drivers. Do they get hot on a Stimulator?

Haha I figured that out about 5 mins after posting that. Not from what I've seen they only get hot when they are on the car. I will need to make double sure but I think my statement holds true.

So it only gets hot on with the MS on the car. the stim runs everything correctly.

Check D5 and D7, make sure they aren't in backwards. Do you have high or low impedance injectors?

D5 and D7 should be in correctly with the silver stripe facing the DB37 connector. I'm running high impedance injectors at the moment. But I will be switching to low impedance as soon as I can figure out these few problems. Also should there be any reason why the fuse to my fuel pump keeps blowing out everytime I turn the car on?
