MAF Units ?

For discussing Phil Tobin's TunerStudio MS is the MegaSquirt edition of TunerStudio, a next generation tuning application. It provides the ability to configure and tune all MegaSquirt controllers and is 100% compatible with MegaTune ini files and msq's.

MAF Units ?

Post by 442olds »

Ok so what gives. The MAF page in the Manual shows the units for the curve in mg/sec, MT and TS readout g/sec on the dashboard, the inc file appears to want g/sec, and the excel spreadsheet for the Nissan MAF appears to be in some unknown units as the numbers almost match what's given for mg/sec on the manual's page but are missing a zero?

So what units is MT/TS expectiong in the MAF inc file, g/sec or mg/sec?

The documents often get out of sync as they were often written sometime ago. Or in some cases perhaps there is a difference between different firmwares or firmware versions. MT ans TunerStudio are using the units the firmware developer put in the ini file, so I would always trust that first.

Also in this case, g/sec is more of the industry standard for Car engines. mg/s might be used more with very small engines.
