TPS not reading.

Post by corso »

I have a V2.2 board I upgraded with the MS2 daughter card and now the TPS sensor won't register. When I have the stim pluged in and turn the CLT knob back and forth, both the coolant gauge and throttle position gauge move. I have tried reloading the code and it still does the same thing. Any input would be great

Check the voltage at the ADC input pins at the daughter card and see if they both move in response to one knob. Could be you have a stray bit of flux or solder blob shorting something together.

The pins on the U1 daughter card. TPS is pin 26, AD3-1. CLT is pin 25, AD2-1.

Make sure it's getting a TPS voltage from the Stim.

Check the circuit and see where the voltage is disappearing.

Use a multimeter. Follow the voltage in from the DB37 connector, through the circuit here:

Find where it disappears.

So I check at the R9 R5 and R2 and they all move on the multimeter.
