USB to Serial Adapter

Post by Sodaguard »

Cant get it to work. Ran portcheck, I'm getting the "S" on COM3 but thats it. I have a MS1 V3, right now using the original B&G code just to get the thing communicating. I HAD a DLP-TXRX installed, but since have uninstalled it because I can't get it to work. Now I have a USB-RS232 adapter, cant get that to work either. I've been trying to get this thing working for 2 weeks now and am close to throwing it out the window. The worst part it this is my 3rd install... 1st with a usb adapter though. I am using the USB adapter now because I do not own, nor can I find a laptop with a DB9 port.

Any ideas?

Thank You

Phil

Tried it with my other MS... It works fine, even loaded the code fine... I must have messed something up on my new MS...

Thanks

I've had these problems too :? to my luck i found an adapter that worked for me on several computers - it was a Belkin one using the Prolific chip i believe.
Other than the recommendation, i have no idea why one ms works and the other doesn't :?
