How to synchronize Ford EDIS system with inyection

Post by Mikelkooler »

Hello I'm new here,
I am doing a restauration of my Mazda 323 GTX of 90' and I want to fit the Megasquirt on my baby.
I want to install Ford EDIS ignition system because it is going to give me the possibility for changing the timing. But this is a wasted-spark system. The question is how can I synchronize the inyection? this system doesn't know the engine in what stroke it is, how does megasquirt know when needs to do the fuel inyection?
I'm very sorry because my english is very poor, but i hope that you will understand my question.
Please if you think that any other ignition system is going to be better for me don't hesitate to tell me.
Thanks in advance!!!!!

Most injection systems, being indirect, fire all the injectors at once - or alternately in two banks. So for fuellling don't need to know which stroke each cylinder is on.

Thanks for answering!!!
I didn't knew that. So when they fire all at once fuel is there "waiting" until valves open then goes inside the piston. So don't care in which point you are doing fueling???
