MAP Sensor Questions

Post by nath »

Setup is a Hayabusa with a MSII + MSD MC4 with the intention of running 35psi.

We have a Map Dady 4 bar sensor and obviously the standard inbuilt one.

I am wondering what is the bet way to provide both the MSD ignition and the MSII with output from the 4 bar sensor and if possible also have real time barro correction on the MSII.

The MAP sensor input on the MSD is 3 wire.

Could I Mount the Map daddy externally and take the feed from sensor 1 to the MSII and sensor 2 to the MSD ?

Does anyone know if the output from the Mapdaddy would be compatible with the MSD ?

Are all 6 pins on the standard MSII sensor in use ?

You could wire the second sensor on the MapDaddy to the MSD. It's unclear if it would interpret the output correctly, but it probably could use the output for something. You may have your boost pressure readings off.

Only the first three pins on the MAP sensor are connected - the data sheet warns not to connect the second three either to external circuitry or ground.
