Engine dies when map is connected? help please

Post by matt-b »

Hi everyone,
I have bought a ms1 v3 to run my homebuilt x20xev turbo engine, i have it all installed and wish to run it so that i can drive about to run it in. The problem is that it runs perfectly without the map sensor pipe connected, but as soon as i connect the pipe the engine stumbles and then dies?
At first i thought that at the 40kpa it tries to idle at may not be suppling enough fuel, so i upped the fuel to 50 from 24 (50 is what it runs at with the map disonnected with ms seeing 100kpa map?)

The engne just will not run with the map pipe connected at all and i fear hrm may come to my engine through it stumbling and dieing the way it has been.

Please please can someone help me as i desparatly need to get back on the road :(

Usually, this means you have the VE table set too lean.
