3.57 V MS and GM DIS

Post by wm g »

I am new to this forum and new to MS.
The engine is a 3.4 liter V6 which it has a disc trigger in the crank, yes the crank disc is cast in to the crank. So we know is there.
The MS is MS II - PCB - V3.57 (SMT) hand writting in my invoice WIHW ???? I also have the relay box----------Bought the whole kit from DIYAutoTune

Case
We have been trying to figure out why I am only getting spark on the first or second revolutions and then it drops out. :x
I have wired the DIS as per the MS manual and with the help of DYIautotune. Very helpful. I have someone who has done several MS programs in different cars using EDIS so, DIS is new to him. The settings were done in accordance to the manual, ECU is working properly (tested ands tested) the limp home wiring re-checked several times all of the wiring was re-checked several times. So we know that the wiring is good, ECU is working, coils tested, module tested as per manual and all of the wiring in the relay box checked several times, sensors wiring checked. :RTFM:

The engine wants to start in the first rotation and it stops trying due to spark is no longer evident. Tested this with a sparkplug tester and the input in the lap top.
My friend suggested installing a EDIS which I am told is simpler etc. and he has experience with EDIS. I just want to know why the GM DIS is not working. I want to give it another shot before I do go to DIS and install another disc. My engine already has a disc in the crank.

The manual wiring from MS saids that the wiring information is from a third party and.....In another words not sure it this works.

I have read were anothers are using DIS. or maybe is just talk.

Any advice or help in this area is greatly appreciated.

Does it run OK if you unplug the Bypass wire?
