fast idle wiring on ms1, volvo b20
Im at the fast idle portion of my wiring. The stock D jet B20 didn't have an electric controlled Aux. air valve, it had a mechanically opened and closed one, mounted on the head. so do i just keep that and not worry about the wires. will the MS1 internal MAP sensor know when that valve opens and richen the mixture accordingly
Re: fast idle wiring on ms1, volvo b20
I'm using an electro/mechanical extra air valve on my Rover V-8, as fitted to the original injection. Has no connection to the ECU - it uses a mixture of coolant temp and a heating element to determine the idle speed when warming up. Works just fine.mechaniman wrote:Ok, building the wire harness for a 67 volvo 122, with a fuel injected B20 engine.

The MS can be mapped to what you want during warm up - it knows the engine speed from the ignition and the idle condition from the MAP sensor.
