I use microphone cable. The sort for balanced mics - ie two conductors and screen.convertables_10 wrote:Im looking for a good reasonably priced solution to shielded wire. I only need enough to do my vr and saw pip wires. Its one of the last wired i need to run in my harness to be complete.

Get the proper stuff
Everything is really straight forward to install (in reality) but what will catch you out later is going to be poor connections and poorly chosen components that may fail.

Decent mic cable can be silicone sheathed - mainly for flexibility. Most underbonnet cable is plain PVC - which doesn't stand heat well at all.jcarruthers wrote:Microphone wire is probably not really suited for underbonnet use - oil and high temp... not good.

You'd likely be amazed at the abuse mic cable has to survive at a gig...
