version 2.2

Post by marty292 »

Here's my situation..
I bought and had a friend build a vs 2.2 mega squirt for me, but never used it due to the non iac motor control..
At the time I also bought the flyback damp board, and the mega view!!
I'm building a 92 Firebird, that I'm installing twin turbos on...
The easy approach of course would be to just buy a chip, but nothing for a V6 exist..
So I'm back to seeing if it's possible for me to use the Mega Squirt system I have, but never used..
Is it possible for my to piggy back this with my O.E. pcm??? that way my transmission still functions correctly
And if so, is there a circuit board to run an iac motor? or do I need to use an air valve??

You could put an MS2 daughter card on a V2.2 main board and get IAC control.

We have an article on how to get the MS and the stock ECU to play nicely together here:

Thanks Matt..
I'd rather do this, then try to play with available prom chips for a hit and miss situation
