Minimum JRE requirement?

Minimum JRE requirement?

Hi,

I am installing PC with tuner studio permanently to my car system consist of:

Thinclient PC with VIA C3 processor 512Mb Flash hd 256 Mb ram
8" TFT with 800X600 Native resolution
iPazzport handheld mouse/keyboard combo
Win2k (very stripped with nliteos 300Mb installed)

When installing Newest JRE I noticed that Tunerstudio did not start it gave fatal error cmov_not_supported . This is because VIA C3 processor does not support it. I downgraded to JRE 6update 21 it works. Now my question is is this ok for Tunerstudio? Or is newest mandatory? PS. this stripped version of w2k boots under 20 sec from flash HD

I still maintain support for anything 1.5 and greater.
So on any 1.6.xx you have no worries.
