Serial Communication Testing

Post by jason123 »

Hi all

I'm building a MSII that i bought from DITAutoTune.com.

I'm using a USB to serial adaptor but am having trouble talking to the MS with MegaTune. I was albe to load the s19 file no probs through this serial connection.

I am using a Belkin serial adaptor. with windows vista

I have run the portcheck program and it results with "No Connection Made". I have removed the buffer on the com port by unchecking "Use FIFO Buffers (....."

Are there any other things i can try???

Thanks in Advance

Could you please post a screen shot of what happens when you run Port Check?

Some older daughter cards had an odd quirk - they could go into bootloader mode if the ECU is powered on while plugged into certain serial adapters. Try powering up the MS2 without the serial connection plugged in, then plug in the serial port.
