VW Throttle body and TPS
In making a new harness, I got to the TB. It has a 3 pin connector socket as well as a cable with 3 pins. TPS was wired to the cable connetor.
I cannot read any values on the multimeter on the cable, but can on the socket.
I am assuming here (and all that applys) that the position potentiometer is main resistance across the 2 outer pins and the wiper on the center of the 3 pin socket.
Is this correct?
Re: VW Throttle body and TPS
Check by rotating the wiper to one end. You should see a near short between the track and it. Do the same at the other end. This way you can see what is the ground for the track and 5 volt feed too.Juliemac wrote:I bought a car with MS installed. The PO did a horrible job wiring the car (All one gauge/color wire).
