EDIS 6 spark plug wires

Post by skyy406 »

Hey all,

I've got a EDIS 6 coil # 90TF-12029-A1A that I bought from www.boostengineering.com

I am having trouble finding an accurate picture of the coils spark outputs, meaning, which spark plug wire go where. The coil itself isn't marked.

My engine fires 1-2-3-4-5-6

Any help is appreciated. I don't want to make custom spark plug wires and have them too short or too long because I had the order on the coil wrong.

Thanks

You can assign any one of the coils to be A, B &C.

On the EDIS 6 module:

Pin 10=Coil A
Pin 11=Coil B
Pin 12=Coil C

You just need to connect each of those pins to the appropriate coil depending on your preference.

Take a look in the manual under MegaSquirt-2>Ignition>Ford EDIS at:

http://www.megamanual.com/index.html

I hope this helps!

Ok, you don't understand what i'm asking. On the coil pack there is a 4 pin plug. One pin is for power, the others connect to the EDIS 6 module for coil firing. What I need to know is, which pin corresponds to it's associating 2 coils!

What I am saying is, I'm assuming that the coils go from ABC left to right if looking at the coil. I need to know if that is correct or not. I understand that they can be assigned any which way, but, for example, does Pin 10 which controls coil A, fire the left plug wires, the middle 2 plug wires, or the right 2 plug wires.

On the coil pack, it is not clear to me which plugs correspond to which Pins.

For example,

Using your picture as the example.....

You can now assign any coil pair as A, B or C. Just wire pin 10 to the pair that you want to be coil A and so-on.....
It is your choice.

That's the MegaManual for you. Pretty well everything you'll need is there, but it can take some finding.
