coolant sensor variable

Post by Boosted302 »

I have installed a autometer coolant temp sensor and It works for the gauge but I am not getting a correct temp reading in ecu. It stayes fixed at 180*. I have found temp resistance numbers but I dont know what to set bias sensor values. I tried other preset bias values but it just changes the fixed reading. Any ideas? thanks. The temp works on stim but not in car.

B302,

Your sensor is either open or shorted to ground. The code defaults to 180 degrees in these cases. You need to fix the sensor or its wiring.
