EDIS8 With High Current Ignition Driver

Bottom line....... No driver is required. (high current or otherwise)

Ken Thank you, My board is currently built per the link you included. I started doing some double checking while waiting for my pwm kit and came across this thread which if im reading correctly suggests that it may be better to install the driver circuitkjones6039 wrote:MS does not need to drive EDIS8. EDIS is, essentially, a standalone ignition system. You only need to provide PIP from the Ford module to trigger MS. Then MS needs to send SAW back to EDIS to control timing.

It would work better for me if I dont need it because that will leave a spot on the heat sink (Q16) for my pwm tip. However if that is the better way to go I will.
