2 8pin modules from one vr source

Post by 355vette »

I am using MS2/V3 code 2.905 on bbc thru small cap gm efi dist. My MS is not happy triggering off the neg coil. My vehicle needs an 8 pin vr signal to run transmission and tach plus that system has allowed me to still drive when MS has failed. So thinking of adding a second 8 pin to drive MS and having both systems active and parallel and the question is will the vr pickup power two 8 pins as far as a vr signal goes? They would be 12v powered separately.

Why not just use one module and leave the bypass pin and EST signals disconnected?

I tried hooking up just the signal wire to tach in on the relay board with no connection for est and by pass but that stop it from working on the GM side and throws a code "short in ignition"

What exactly is the GM side controlling?

At this point the gm side controls the 4l80e transmission, timing, dash tach and fuel pump. It is a 93 suburban and is the test mule for my MS dual tbi system that I have been working with on my test stand. It is all destined for my 50 chev pickup but I don't want to switch to that truck until the system is absolutely correct and trouble free. So just was trying to find out if the gm vr could drive to 8 pins.
