anyone know about SyncroMap?
Read the manual to see if your question is answered there before posting. Many users will not reply if the answer is already available in the manual.
If your question is about troubleshooting, configuration, or tuning, you MUST include your processor type (MS-I or MS-II) and code version in your post. If your question is about PCB assembly or modifications, you must also include the main board version number (1.01, 2.2 or 3.0).
If you have questions about MS1/Extra or MS2/Extra code configuration or tuning, please post them at www.msextra.com Such questions posted here will be moved to: a temporary MSextra sub-forum, where they will be removed after 7 days

anyone know about SyncroMap?
It talks about Bruce's SyncroMap, does anyone know about it?
is it available?
it could be a good alternative to Alpha-N for those of us struggling with SD on ITB

EDIS 4 ignition
MSII ECU v3 board v2.891 code & Relay Board

Re: anyone know about SyncroMap?
I have spoken with DIYAutoTune and they advise that Synchromap has not been commercialised. Hence there is no kit or printed circuit board available from them.
Under the subject of "Map Mixer", DonTZ125 has posted a schematic drawing of the circuit in a .jpg file. With a little bit of work you can also determine the component part numbers. The schematic appears to have fewer chips than as shown on the photo in www.synchromap.com. So maybe there are some variations on the wiring. The photo also shows that Bruce Bowling and Al Grippo have had a circuit board made for Synchromap. I am not sure if it is available from them. Alternatively, you could use a universal circuit board or have one printed.
I cannot find any detail on where Synchromap connects into MS-II which is the ECU that I have. I can only assume that the output from Synchromap could be wired directly into the MS-II board in place of the original MAP sensor.
The Synchromap website indicates that the code for MS-II has the facility for adjusting the timing at which point the pressure is sensed.
Any further help would be much appreciated.

Re: anyone know about SyncroMap?

And yes, the "Out" pin connects to the 'Pin 1' hole of the on-board MAP sensor. If you want, you could duplicate the MAP filter circuit in the proto area, run the sensor Pin 1 to the filter, and then from the filter to JS4 or JS5 - constant baro. Don't forget to disconnect the vacuum line from the on-board sensor ...

Re: anyone know about SyncroMap?
As the ECU will be mounted about 1.5 meters from the engine and the MAP sensors will be close to the inlet manifold, I am thinking that it may be best to stay with a standalone unit. It would also be easier with my limited knowledge of the system.

The standalone unit that I was referring to is SynchroMAP.
A couple of questions about your circuit. The diode BZX55C12V goes to earth on the bottom leg? Is the power supply for the MAP sensors taken from the Megasquirt supply to the built in sensor or from where the above diode is connected?
Thanks "old guy" for the link to a member with pc boards for sale.
