MS2 V3.0 EDIS NO SPARK ADVANCE

Post by etizz »

Hello everyone I'm new to megasquirt, I've got a carbed sbc that I've got edis 8 working in limp mode no problem. I've got a 3.0 board with a relay board as we'll and I show RPM in tuner studio that matches my tach on my car. I've got the SAW wiring going to S5 on the relay terminal. But I'm showing no advance in timing. I've read a couple things on some settings to "use table" instead of "fixed" ignition settings but I can't seem to find that in tunerstudio lite. Is that something I need to upgrade the software to change? What else should I be looking at?

Heres my msq file. now as a background i got the ms2 off ebay from a guy who had a tbi sbc setup so theres all kinds of fuel settings and what not that i dont even need right now im only doing ignition first for the time being then ill switch to mpfi.

IMHO it is far better to start afresh by re-loading the code and working from the base map there, going through the instructions in the manual for this. You already have saved out your existing MSQ, so can go back to it if needed. If the advance tables you have are good, you can load them into the new code.

I've read up on fresh installations of code but I don't know how to remove and reinstall . Any links on that I was afraid to overwrite the old and cause more problems.
