EDIS crank sensor question

Post by slow67 »

New to the board, This is my first experience with EDIS ignition and I have ran across a question. The EDIS crank sensor has a positive and a negative feed from the module. My question is looking at the connector which wire goes to positive? I haven't had much luck in finding an answer

Thanks!

Just for clarification, the leads from the sensor to the EDIS module are not simply positive or negative! One of the wires is actually an a/c signal (often marked +) from the sensor and the other one is grounded back to the module.

In my experience there is no canned answer as to the pinout for these sensors. Which particular Ford sensor are you using?

Go to this site:-

Click on the pic of their sensor and you'll see the connections for that.

The other answer is if it doesn't work try reversing them. :)
