Transistor Q23 on V3 board.

Post by 107merc »

Have a feeling I just made some unnecessary work for myself. Q23, viewed from the back, showed 10.56 ohms between the two outer legs,
10.57 between the center and right legs and a short between the center and left. thinking I must have screwed up, I removed Q23, cleaned the board up
to where I could see the holes were not touching and get the same readings. Started to assume this is normal except all the other transistor mountings show
infinity between the holes. Could someone confirm that the mounting for Q23 is OK. Thanks.

Have you installed R56? That is a variable resistor which is wired across pin 2 and 3. Depending on how it is set you might well see a (near) short with no transistor in place.

Thanks for responding, R56 is in place so I will replace Q23. Thanks again.
