Distributorless Ignition - '97 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L
I am currently building a MS-II to manage my fuel, boost, timing, and ignition on my '97 Wrangler 2.5L. I have a t3/t4 turbo installed and larger injectors for e85. Right now my Jeep uses a distributor to manage the timing and ignition and I have read that switching it over to a distributorless ignition will make the MS easier to tune and manage as well as make it more accurate. I am going to be installing the 36-1 trigger wheel with the hall sensor. I believe i need to purchase the following:
IGN-4 Four-tower Coil Pack
BIP373 Ignition Module
My question is: Has anyone switched a 2.5L Jeep over to a distributorless ignition before and if so, what all did you do? Will I need to setup the MS to use an ignition output signal to control the coil? (I am currently stuck on step 22 in the v3.0 assembly guide)
Feel free to ask me questions on the project if that will help you get a better understanding of what i am trying to do. I appreciate any help.
Thanks!

You may want to consider the MS2/Extra code. It also requires a mod for the ignition channels, but the changes are done to the (relatively) big clunky components of the main board, not the daughter card. Also, if this engine uses the Renix 44-2-2 wheel, the Extra code can read it directly without the need to add a 36-1 wheel.
