No connection between TS and MS

No connection between TS and MS

I have a MS1 v2.2 with a stim v2.1. Before installing the MS in the car I plan on using it in, I wanted to test everything. I just downloaded TS lite, purchased the tuning cable and DB9 USB adaptor from DIY Autotune. I've plugged everything in using a brand new 9v battery, created a new project, and the software doesn't detect the MS and won't connect. Have I missed a step? This is also on a Windows 7 laptop and the lights on the stim are properly coming on/off. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you install the latest USB driver for the USB to serial adaptor? It's available to download from the ExtraEFI site.
