Msquirt to Porsche 911SC 6 pin CDI

Post by 71911 »

Have you used M'squirt with 911SC 6-pin CDI for both fuel & ignition control?Looking at the sc wiring diagram, it seems like you could run the dizzY (VR signal) to the MS tach input (pins 1&24) and then use the MS coil trigger output (pin 36) to trigger the CDI box at pin 7 of the CDI (dizzy green wire output)....but what do you do with CDI pin 31d (formerly the dizzy brown wire output ? ground? Or will the 6-pin CDI need a VR type output from the MS?

I've typically used MSD CDI units for this app, but I have a customer that wants to use the stock Bosch CDI and I have not used that particular configuration before.

If you have done this and/or have good relevant experience regarding this configuration........experts chime in please.

Note: link to Pelican parts forums...same question with wiring diagrams shown.............
