I tested all the pins on the ms for ground with the stim attached but without the extra ground wire going to the regulator(tested pins on the bottom of the board). Then I tested the pins on just the stim, the results I just posted.

correct, none of them worked as a ground.. the soldering looks good on the stim, maybe a few spots could use a little more solder but they deffenetly make a connection. I will resolder them and see where that gets me.

thanks guys,
Alex
It's more usual to test for continuity using the resistance setting on your DVM. There should be near 0 ohms between all the ground points.

ok, i resoldered the stim and have the same results. I also checked using ohms, getting no reading for grounds.

Ill try and find my digi camera and take a few pics of it along with the ms board.

well its fixed. ghetto rigged but it works. it was the stim. I guess it never came with a socket for a wall plug in (me and my friend both thought it was optional) but I got to looking at the "wires" for the ground and relised they go nowhere, the "optional" socket thats missing in the pic completes the ground, I just used a wire to complete the circut.

everything on the ms board tests exactly how the manual says it should.

Matt - do you guys sell that socket that im missing seperate? I didnt see any extra stim parts on the site but I guess I could have missed it.

thank you guys for all the help, I was going crazy!

We can set up an order for individual Stim parts - contact us by email if you need it.
