Coil connector wiring help (EDIS)

So I know there is a nice diagram for wiring up the EDIS stuff, but I need par to it spelled out for me.

Pin 8 on the module is confusing me. From the looks of it, two wires come off, one goes to ign switched 12v, and the second part goes to pin 2 of the coil connector, which also splits off and is grounded?

I've searched but couldn't find anything that answers this question, hopefully you can help,

Thanks,

Bryan

You are 2/3 correct. The wire goes from the ignition +12v to pin 8 on the module and to the middle pin on the EDIS coil it does not go to ground, if you connect it to ground you will short out the ignition +12v and get at best a blown fuse and at worst smoke.
It does have a 25Uf capacitor from pin 2 of the coil to ground, if you get the coil from another car you will see this capacitor beside the EDIS coil.

I always thought that diagram could use a box where the capacitor is to make it more obvious that you're not sending +12V to ground!

So how would this be wired? Run two wires from 12V ign (one going to pin 2, and one going to pin 8 of the connector).

How would you wire the pin 2 of the coil? 1 wire comes out, so do you split it, one going to the 12V, and the other wire going to the ground?

I've almost got it ;)

Thanks for the help

Split the wire off coil pin 2 so that one end is going to EDIS pin 8, and one side is going into the capacitor - which is grounded through it's body to whatever it's bolted to. That's what the diagram is trying to show.
