I have a inlet manifold and TBI setup off a G16a 8 valve Vitara. I went and pulled the coolant temp sensor from it last night to get some figures to punch into Easytherm, and I spotted a 2nd sensor installed in the manifold pretty close to where the 1st one is.
Now I have a carb'd G13a and the manifold on that model does not have this 2nd sensor, so i'm guessing the 1st sensor feeds a signal to the temp gauge in the dash cluster, and the 2nd sensor feeds signal to the ECU. That's probably how I will set it up.

Resistances as measured:
11 deg C - 1000 ohm
33 deg C - 380 ohm
98 deg C - 15 ohm
Here are a couple of pics of the 2nd one. It's bigger, with larger and coarser thread and a waterproof connector.
Resistances as measured:
11 deg C - 3400 ohm
33 deg C - 1500 ohm
98 deg C - 210 ohm
